TERESA STORCH

A performer in the New England scene for the past two years, recently returning from a 5 week national tour (nearly circumnavigating the continental US!), Boston-based singer/songwriter Teresa Storch is constantly moving. Her music has been described as a "bounding folk rock sound...mesmerizing vocal riffs" by Boston's Metronome Magazine and "Vega/Merchant-esque vocals...funky guitar work... fabulously catchy folk-genre'd tunes" by Boston Girl Guide. Her first release 'Muscle Memory' and live shows are gathering her national acclaim. Most recently she was selected amongst the top 25 in the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival 2003 Songwriter's Showcase Competition and was selected as part of the “Boston’s Best Singer/Songwriters” Showcase for 2003.

Show most people a swirly Dave Matthews Band poster and what do they see? Teresa Storch saw her calling. While studying engineering at the Colorado School of Mines she got hooked on live music. One Red Rocks show prompted her to proclaim “I want to do that!” Now, after several years of pursuing a music career in Boston and touring the country, Teresa has returned to Colorado. She's put together a trio with Boulder's Rob Galloway on bass and drummer Gregory 'Gayan' Long to share her soulful folk-rock that can range from Tower of Power funk to Hoagy Carmichael jazz.

You will find Teresa wherever she can do what she loves, connecting with people through music, be it in clubs in Cambridge or a subway platform. She has shared stages and sidewalks with the likes of Entrain, Kevin So, and Rachel Sage and played venues in the West and Northeast.
