Career musician Jon Garson brings together talented local string players for a rousing evening of classic bluegrass, country, western swing, and honky tonk
GPS is a truly Americana trio. Playing with a mixture of acoustic and electric instrumentation, GPS is influenced by artists from Hank Williams to Howlin’ Wolf.
Jon Garson is a great purveyor of Bluegrass, Country and Western swing. He currently fronts his Bluegrass band Late for Supper with some of the best musicians on the front range.
Tom Pakele has a great love for the Blues. He’s been playing harmonica since he was 12, over 50 years, and is proficient in all genres of roots music including Rock, Folk, Country and Jazz. In his solo act he plays guitar with harmonica on the rack performing covers as well as his own original songs. Tom is currently the lead singer and frontman of the Rockin’ Blues band Hotfoot.
Scott Spanbauer is a multi instrumentalist who plays guitar ,pedal steel, lap steel, drums , bass, piano, you get the picture. He’s shows no fear in picking up any instrument and jamming hard! He’s fronted numerous bands and is currently recording pedal steel, guitar and backing vocals with the country band Jay Silence and the Firewater Band.
Together these brothers from other mothers make up a mighty fine gumbo of Americana music!
Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a nonpartisan organization whose purpose is to build the political will for a livable future. Funds from this concert will be used to send Colorado volunteers to the National Conference to lobby for major climate change legislation.
