Valentine’s Eve with Stephen Brooks Quartet featuring Matthew Clement

Formed in Denver in 2014, the Stephen Brooks Quartet has featured a rotating cast of top Denver, Boulder and Colorado Springs jazz musicians. The current lineup includes Boulder favorite Mark Diamond on bass, Chris Kroger on piano, Stephen on drums, and Matthew Clement on trumpet and vocals, doing a diverse range of music—from Sinatra to Sting to Bill Withers—but always rooted in the jazz tradition. Matthew is better known as the trumpet man and singer for the nationally known ska band The Dendrites. The quartet is thrilled to include him at Nissi’s this September.
