Ladies Sing The Blues
CASS CLAYTON BAND
&
KERRY PASTINE AND THE
CRIME SCENE

Cass Clayton Band – Cass Clayton is known for her smoky 3-octave vocal range and big, bluesy voice, as well as her slide guitar playing. She was recently voted as one of the top three vocalists and top three slide guitar players in Colorado (Colorado Blues Society, Members’ Choice Awards 2017). She’s been breaking out into crossover music with blues, funk, soul and rock as her vocabulary on an upcoming CD, to be released in May of 2018.  Cass Clayton Band featuring Taylor Scott, is the culmination of a songwriting and composing collaboration that led Cass and Taylor into the studio to record their own originals in 2017 and into the present. Their complementary music tastes began to evolve into music they both loved that didn’t fit in any particular box. Their combined influences of blues, funk, jazz, gospel and rock came together in an undefinable way.

Kerry Pastine – Since the release of their debut album Let’s Do This Thing in 2015, Kerry Pastine and the Crime Scene have taken the national roots music scene by storm, spending much of the past three years touring North America. Their follow-up EP Bad Magic Baby (released in June 2017) clearly shows the band’s growth as songwriters, performers and recording artists, proof that their star is still on the rise.
The Crime Scene is now infamous for their no-holds-barred, pedal-to-the-metal live shows and their reputation has landed them on some of the best stages, shows and festivals throughout the US.

NELSON RANGELL

Jazziz magazine writes that Nelson Rangell is “an artist of depth, a master of song, and an improviser non pareil.” The Times of London notes “his extraordinary facility on a range of instruments” and Rangell’s “considerable crowd pleasing power”. Saxophone Journal writes “He commands the alto saxophone with such authority there can be no denying that Rangell is a true artist." Such praise is a confirmation of what contemporary jazz fans have known since the Denver based saxophonist emerged in the late 80s: that Rangell is one of the most exciting and diverse performers in the genre, equally adept at soprano, alto, and tenor saxophone, as well as being a genuine virtuoso on flute and piccolo.

SMOKIN'
"A Tribute to Boston and more"

“BOSTON” Just the name stirs the imagination and the heart as one of the most quintessential and popular classic rock bands of all time. “Smokin’” is the Colorado tribute band that has dedicated themselves to the challenging task of faithfully reproducing the energetic, textured and melodic music that many have loved since the 70’s. The soaring guitars, the swirling keyboards, the lush melodic vocals are all part of the Boston recipe. FM radio staples such as “More Than a Feeling, Peace of Mind, Foreplay/Long Time, Don’t Look Back, Amanda, Hitch a Ride, Cool the Engines, Smokin’ and more. Smokin’ also adds an extra dash of variety by playing other tunes from the FM Rock era like Kansas, ELO, Journey and others.

Smokin’ is comprised of seasoned musicians many of which have or had played in other tributes like Paradise Theatre, Rush Archives, Project Foreigner, KISS’m, Van Who’len, and more. Smokin’ is fueled up and their “guitarship” is poised to liftoff this summer and fall in grand fashion! Be sure to be part of that magic and get in on the excitement, strumming your air guitars and belting out all the hits with the band!

St. Patrick's with
TAKE DOWN THE DOOR

Described as “a powerhouse Celtic band” (Boulder Weekly), Take Down the Door hearkens the old Irish tradition of taking the door off its hinges and throwing it down on a dirt cottage floor when it was time for a party. Based in Lyons, Colorado, this high energy quintet features former Gaelic-Storm fiddler Jessie Burns, bassist Eric Thorin (Matt Flinner Trio, Jeff Austin Band), Colorado’s foremost Celtic fiddle and guitar duo Adam Agee and Jon Sousa, and singer/percussionist Beth Gadbaw, described by Irish Music Magazine as “exceptional”. Take Down the Door hits hard with killer musicianship and masterful arrangements. The band’s foot-stomping, heart-stopping, wide-open sound reflects its name and its natural habitat.

NELSON RANGELL

Tickets on sale Feb 27 9:00am

THE MOVERS & SHAKERS

The Movers and Shakers are a tight knit band of four music enthusiasts who bring everything they have to every single performance. Influences range from old school soul stars like Otis Redding and Sam and Dave to The Red Hot Chile Peppers, Talker, Joe Cocker and Jonny Lange. The band is fronted by dynamic vocalist Andy Webber. Andy’s energetic and soulful style is impressive. He is as comfortable with an Otis Redding ballad as he is with vintage 60’s Steppenwolf or contemporary RnB from Blackstreet.

JUST A GIRL
"The No Doubt/Gwen Stefani Tribute"  &
MATERIAL GIRL
"The Madonna Tribute"

Just A Girl: isn’t just one of Denver’s top tribute bands- it’s Colorado’s ONLY No Doubt/Gwen Stefani Tribute.
No Doubt may have broken up, but you can still get your fix of all your favorite songs with Just A Girl. They are an accurate reproduction of the No Doubt experience. Just A Girl performs the pop/ska/reggae songs you remember from the 1990’s and a few Gwen Stefani hits from present day.
Material Girl: During a great gig with another tribute band, a vision in my head appeared. If I were to create a tribute to one artist, who would that be? Who would have written, recorded and performed enough great music that all age groups could recognize and love her music. It had to be Madonna. I was that little girl in front of the mirror with my hairbrush held up to my face, singing at the top of my voice along with an LP recording of “Like a Virgin”, although at the time I had no idea what a virgin was! I have continued to enjoy her music all of these years, and hope that I can inspire good times, great memories, and an honest glance into the music of the “Queen of Pop” – Madonna!
