NELSON RANGELL

Jazziz magazine writes that Nelson Rangell is “an artist of depth, a master of song, and an improviser non pareil.” The Times of London notes “his extraordinary facility on a range of instruments” and Rangell’s “considerable crowd pleasing power”. Saxophone Journal writes “He commands the alto saxophone with such authority there can be no denying that Rangell is a true artist." Such praise is a confirmation of what contemporary jazz fans have known since the Denver based saxophonist emerged in the late 80s: that Rangell is one of the most exciting and diverse performers in the genre, equally adept at soprano, alto, and tenor saxophone, as well as being a genuine virtuoso on flute and piccolo.

DUELING PIANOS

A great night for your staff holiday party!!!
The Barton Brothers are a piano-centric songwriting and performance duo based in Denver, drawing influences from their piano rock forefathers, from Billy Joel to Ben Folds, along with musical theater and Top 40. Jack and Dan are Colorado natives — classically trained pianists and childhood choir nerds who grew up sharing stereos, piano teachers, and bunk beds, developing a shared musical vocabulary from the start. This built-in chemistry is immediately apparent in their infectious, high-energy dueling piano show which honors the piano bar sing-along classics and puts an original spin on contemporary hits and 90's throwbacks.

TAKE DOWN THE DOOR presents
A CELTIC CHRISTMAS

Described as "a powerhouse Celtic band" (Boulder Weekly), Take Down the Door hearkens the old Irish tradition of taking the door off its hinges and throwing it down on a dirt cottage floor when it was time for a party and dancing. To celebrate this holiday season, the band has drawn on beautifully arranged seasonal songs and music woven from the traditions of the Emerald Isle. Let’s throw the door wide open and gather together for an evening of foot-stomping, heart-stopping, wide-open sound that reflects the band’s name.
Based in Lyons, Colorado, this high energy quintet features former Gaelic-Storm fiddler Jessie Burns, bassist Eric Thorin (Matt Flinner Trio, Jeff Austin Band), Colorado's foremost Celtic fiddle and guitar duo Adam Agee and Jon Sousa, and singer/percussionist Beth Gadbaw, described by Irish Music Magazine as "exceptional".

Take Down the Door has been described by presenters and audiences as:
“Extraordinary musicians who blend expertly to deliver a wondrous weave of rhythm, sound...and haunting melodies."
"A marvelous and spirited performance."

Erik Boa & The Constrictors are a Blues/Swing/Boogie Trio! Erik Boa /Guitar & Vocal, Jodie Woodward, Bass, Scotty Rivera, Drums Here’s what others are sayin’… “I’m a big fan of Erik Boa. He really knocked me out on our tour together. His version of “Room With A View” was a seasoned artistic triumph and that kind of slow blues is one of the hardest things to play and pull off in all of music! I’m a believer!” Tad Robinson~ Recording Artist/Singer “Boa is a flat-out killer guitarist capable of about any blues lick you could ever want to hear. He bends those strings with both emotion and devotion! When he cuts loose he delivers pure hard nosed frocious guitar anguish! When he sings you hear a blues voice from a man that has lived the life he sings about!” Chick Cavallero~Colorado Blues Society “God”!

NOTHING BUT NINETIES

Anavrin’s Day is a tribute to ’90s Alternative and Grunge. Dedicated to recreating the music we love! STP, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Soundgarden and more!

Nothing But Nineties
is based on the idea that a leading 90’s cover band must create a fully immersive 90’s nostalgia experience, complete with shameless throwback outfits, 90’s-themed jokes and gags, and pop culture references beyond just music. Don’t be surprised if you and your friends are teleported straight to your childhood when you hear clips out of your favorite 90’s movies, TV shows and even the dreaded AOL dial up tone. If it makes you think of the 90’s, Nothing But Nineties does it.
