Kutandara Kombi is our “little” band (just like a kombi is a little bus…or mini van…in developing countries). Our footprint is smaller, our instrumentation is scaled down, but you won’t miss the big sound. Audiences will hear drum set, electric mbira, guitar, electric bass, and percussion along with a 3-piece marimba trio in a Kutandara Kombi concert. Kutandara Kombi plays a mix of traditional Shona mbira tunes, contemporary Zimbabwean pop songs, and an eclectic variety of current top forty jams.

Now Mike’s YouTube channel boasts over 170,000 subscribers and over 55 million views. He can be seen performing at various private and public events around the country and the world, including his recently sold-out shows in London and the Netherlands. Mike has performed live as a vocalist with Barry Goudreau and Sib Hashian, former and original members of the band Boston, doing a set of all classic Boston songs, some of the most challenging rock vocals ever recorded. He will be performing as a duo with a great local bassist/vocalist, Bryce Bloom.  Join Mike and Bryce for this evening of acoustic classic rock magic.  They will be taking requests.

Johnny & The Mongrels is a high powered, New Orleans infused, “Swamp Blues/Funk” collaboration from Fort Collins, Colorado. The project was developed in April of 2015, via the mutual musical admiration of singer songwriter Johnny Ryan & incomparable bassist/singer, songwriter/multi instrumentalist, Jeff Bostic. Notably, Within 6 months of the projects’ development, The Mongrels were invited to become part of the new groundbreaking, SpokesBuzz Springboard Program, directed by Dani Grant (Mishawaka Amphitheater). Immediately after accepting that invitation, the band literally “Spring-boarded” into playing highly attended local live shows, organizing an east coast tour and successfully recorded their debut album entitled “You Ain’t Ready”, that dropped in early 2016.
