Kerry Pastine (vocals), Pauly Six (guitar), Lance Romance (upright bass) and Mad Dog (stand-up drums) are believers in mixing ideas from the past into something new, fun and exciting. There are elements of rockabilly, jump blues, classic soul and garage rock all spun together in an intoxicating original sound that fans are calling a “roots rock & roll party.” All of the pieces simply fall into place and the result is a joyful celebration of life, love and hazy nights filled with live music, friends and just a hint of danger.
Eef and the Blues Express is one of the funkiest blues bands in the state of CO. No kidding! They play down home blues and we play it well. Our eyes start shining though and our feet start tappin when we play those groovy tunes that make you wanna dance and make you wanna shake your bootie. Our individual music experience is immeasurable, as a band we are more than the sum of us.

Saxophone Journal writes “He commands the alto saxophone with such authority there can be no denying that Rangell is a true artist,” and Flute Talk Magazine states “Nelson Rangell creates the impression that anything is possible when he improvises.” Such praise is a confirmation of what contemporary jazz fans have known since the Denver based saxophonist emerged in the late 80s: that Rangell is one of the most exciting and diverse performers in the genre, equally adept at soprano, alto, and tenor saxophone, as well as being a genuine virtuoso on flute and piccolo.

The Symbols are a popular rock/soul/blues/funk trio from Fort Collins, Colorado.  The Symbols write, record, and perform songs that have inspired movie soundtracks, public service announcements, and commercial advertisements. Many of the band’s songs sound like something you might hear on the modern radio, but with vintage analog tones. The Symbols feel an intellectual and spiritual influence from modern day Jeff Beck, and Amy Winehouse’s short lived but brilliant career. Critics have referred to the sound made by The Symbols as “rocking and danceable,” yet at the same time “chill and zen.” The crooning, jazzing vocals and guitar string-bending/whammy bar manipulations coming out of this band can be heard nowhere else.
