The Michael C. Experience 

Michael C., born Michael Sidney Caston on the south side of Chicago, was blessed with music in his soul. Like many toddlers, he created a makeshift drum set from his mother’s pots and pans when he was 5 years old. He never outgrew his love for playing percussion. He played drums with legendary gospel groups including: The Clark Sisters, Mighty Clouds of Joy, and Rev. James Cleveland, to name a few. After graduating from high school Michael C. joined the U.S. Army. He was stationed in CO Springs at Fort Carson. While serving in the military, Michael C. was privileged to be asked to perform in a U.S.O. show for service men and women. During his leisure time he continued to play with local cover bands. He began to focus more and more on his vocals, and he became more serious about pursuing his dream of becoming a professional vocalist and entertainer. It didn’t take long for the word to spread about this dynamic and energetic performer. Critics and fans alike couldn’t deny the versatile, passionate, seductive, and sensual sound of Michael C.’s vocals. Oftentimes he was, and continues to be, compared to Marvin Gaye and Luther Vandross – artists who inspired and influenced him.
